It’s The Little Tips That Help
There is so much I don’t know. But I try to learn as much of it as possible. Sometimes it’s the little tips and tricks you get from other people that really help you out. I would like to share some recent tips I received.
Microsoft Spelling and Grammar Check Needs to Be Set Up
I just kind of assumed that Microsoft Word spelling and grammar check had one setting and that was “on or off.” Apparently, I was very wrong. You actually need to go into the preferences of Microsoft Word to not only turn it on, but set it’s strictness. And from what I’ve learned, it is much more complicated than “strict or not strict.” It is actually very detailed and convoluted. For example, when and where a comma appears has to be identified by you. It took me some time, but I think i have it set up to the point it will catch a few errors.
Dragon Dictate is Actually Pretty Useful
I bought Macspeech Scribe and it is terrible. I also have Dragon Dictate on my iPhone and it understands about 50% of what I say, and therefore is utterly useless. But I learned that Dragon Naturally Speaking is actually very handy. I spoke to a marketer who swears by it and says it saves her hours. Who knew?
Please note that the marketer recommends getting the upgraded headset.
